dragon age origins is a massive rpg that looks to be similar to oblivion in its complexity. it comes from bioware, so you know it has to be good. its a single player scheduled for spring of 2009. which system is it for? pc, 360, and ps3 so the real question is which system is it best for?

finally a new star wars mmo!! this time there is no sony involvement, being developed by ea games instead, i have high hopes for this game. above is the release video from youtube. the game takes place 3,500 years before the rise of darth vader and 300 years after kotor 1. the ancient sith empire returns to take on the republic.

i admit it, i love vista and i know people are scared to work try vista. 90% of the bad press you hear about vista have been people complining about vista before it even came out. you've got to stop believing everything the media tells you. but, for everyone who is too scared to try vista, dose not like vista or simply can not afford it there is an article over at lifehacker.com that talks about how you can choose to add some of the functionality of vista to xp. so this way you can get the best of vista's user interface, keep the stuff you like, uninstall the stuff you don't and get an idea of what the newest operating system has to offer. enjoy :)

barack obama has won the presidency. congratulations obama, i did not vote for you. yes, it is a historic election. a black man has made it to the highest office in the land, arguably the highest office in the world, and he did it without the aid of affirmative action. (perhaps now the african americans can give up their fear of open competition and compete for jobs/opportunities on an even playing field, qualifications alone, but i digress). i don't usually delve into politics as i find it too depressing but the presidential election is a hard one to miss. without running off on a tangent, let me just remind everyone the significance of this day, november 5th.

star trek online was given over to cryptic studios earlier this year. cryptic has been developing a game engine that allows their programmers to build the game within the engine itself. what does this mean for star trek online? it means that in only a few short months they already a playable version of the game. not complete yet, but its getting pretty close.

the second death note movie comes to the theaters! this is the second movie in a series of three live action films. it will be showing for two nights only, october 15th and 16th. it is only playing at select theaters but i plan to go on the 16th to watch it in riverside, care to join me?

star wars galaxies was the first mmo i ever played and i loved it. i joined from day one and couldn't get enough of it. then sony went and changed everything about the game and thousands left in protest, myself included. just the other day i noticed a little project seeking to correct sony's mistakes. swgmu is an attempt to emulate the server and run the game as it was meant to be played from the begining. it is currently only running as a test server and about 80% of the game is completed. i can't wait for ths project to be completed!

gamespot has this game listed as an action rpg but the preview i read sounded more like a strategy of some sort. either way it looks like it will be a very cool game that easily makes it onto my must buy list.

yeap, star wars comes to tv with a half hour cartoon series on the clone wars. its in the same style as the new movie, in fact the new movie is the pilot for the series. i can't wait for october 3!
